With over 9 years of experience in the investment profession and nearly two decades in finance, BJ Knous joined The Spectrum Financial Group, Inc. in 2012 as Associate Financial Advisor and founded Knous Capital Management, Inc. in 2016. BJ holds a Series 6 and 7 (FINRA), 63, 65 (NASAA) registrations and Wealth Management Certified Professional designation. He is also licensed for Life Insurance. Prior to building a career in the wealth management profession, BJ served in the DFW area as a Finance and Insurance specialist in the automotive industry. After close to 10 years in the automotive industry, BJ followed his dream, making the decision to switch careers satisfying his goals of having a challenging job that he loves, while being able to positively affect peoples' lives. Drawing on the expertise of those he has worked with as a young advisor, BJ incorporates their ideas and philosophies with his own to bring a wealth of experience in analyzing personal financial situations for clients and introducing a strategy to help them achieve their goals. His expertise in cultivating relationships and providing superior customer service to those clients aligns with the overall mission of Knous Capital Management, Inc. BJ looks to provide clients with advice to achieve each of their individual financial goals through a holistic planning process and helping them to understand each stage of the process, creating an overall positive experience.

Originally from Decatur, Indiana, BJ moved to Texas in 2004. He enjoys spending time with his family, friends, participating in recreational league sports, fitness training and watching motorsport racing.
